2.0iL Parts only Warranty

1. Warranty

1.1 Tii Trading warrants that the 2.0iL conversion (the ENGINE) is free of defects in materials and workmanship according to current industrial standards.

1.2 This warranty is expressly in lieu of all other warranties, obligations of liabilities, whether for direct of consequential damage of otherwise.

1.3 The warranty will only apply:

    a. If the engine is installed by an authorized VW franchised dealer or Bosch service center repair shop or pre-authorized installer by Tii Trading Co.

2. Period

2.1 This warranty becomes effective on the issue of a repair order showing work completed by an authorized Bosch Service Center or an authorized VW franchised dealer or pre-authorized installer by Tii Trading Co.(from here on referred to as "installer")and remains valid for a period of one year (12 months).

2.2 The warranty period is not extended by any repair or replacement carried out in terms of the warranty, unless agreed in writing by Tii Trading Co.

3. Claims

3.1 Claims for repairs of defects can be made only at authorized VW franchised dealers and must be made forthwith upon ascertainment of the defect.

4. Warranty Certificate

4.1 The warranty certificate will be issued by Tii Trading Co. on satisfactory completion of the installation of the installation of the engine provided:

    a. The authorized "installer" is of the opinion that no auxiliary parts and/or hang-on parts (auxiliary parts) are missing.

    b. The auxiliary parts are in the opinion of the "installer", in an acceptable condition.

5. Warranty Cover

The warranty is limited to the replacement of the defective parts according to technical requirements. Replaced items become the property of Tii Trading Co..

6. Exclusions. Tii Trading Co. will have no liability in terms of the warranty in the following circumstances:

6.1 If the engine has been repaired by a workshop which is not an authorized "installer".

6.2 If parts have been used which have not been approved by Tii Trading Co., or have been modified in a manner not approved by Tii Trading Co.

6.3 If the maintenance records as stipulated in the service record, have not been complied with.

6.4 If the engine has failed as a result of failure of the auxiliary parts.

6.5 Negligent and/or improper handling, use and/or abuse.

6.6 Storage and/or corrosion.

6.7 Normal wear and tear.

6.8 If the engine has been fitted to a vehicle other than an unmodified or standard production VW Vanagon equipped with a Waterboxer engine manufactured by Volkswagen Germany.
